Casting Call - Hand Models

Male and Female Hand Models
• Any Age
• Any Ethnicity
...............
Pay: $10 per hour OR Trade for DVD of footage
No Travel Expenses are paid, just hourly from model's arrival at downtown Orlando studio
...............
Requirements: No previous hand modeling experience necessary
All makeup (if needed) and wardrobe must be provided by model.
Wardrobe will consist of solid color shirt(s) and pant (just in case we can see it) - colors of which will be determined based on shoot for which model is booked. (We're usually able to work around what you already have in your wardrobe. We don't expect you to purchase anything.)
...............
Details:
We're preparing to do some lifestyle tabletop shoots and need some pretty (and handsome!) hands to be on camera. We'll be doing things like lighting candles, stirring tea, pouring coffee and putting flowers in vases. Simple stuff, but we need nice hands to star in these shots. We won't see much more than hands - maybe some arm and possibly mid-torso - but certainly no faces.
..............
How to Apply:
If you think your hands qualify, please go to our website for more details on how to apply (See the "How It Works" section halfway down the page). In your email, also attach a close up photo of your hands (no professional shots are needed, just a snapshot is fine - as long as the lighting is good enough so we can really SEE your hands - like go outside with a digital still camera and have someone take a photo of your hands in the sunlight).
Be sure to include your name, email and phone with your photo(s).

Open to: College-aged adults (look like you're 18-24)
• Both men and women are needed

.
Requirements: • No previous acting or modeling experience required
• You must be willing to sign two Clipnic forms: Model Release and Model Agreement (these forms can be found on our main website, so you can read them before you sign them). You must be 18 or older to sign, unless you're going to bring your parent/guardian with you to the shoot to sign with you.

Doctor Greenscreen Settings

Hey kids!
Here are the three simple steps for your Final Cut Pro greenscreen settings that will get you an INSTANT and super clean key on your Doctor clips.

:: 1st ::  Add the Color Smoothing - 4:2:2  (In the Effects Bin, in the Key folder)

:: 2nd ::  Add Chroma Keyer (not the blue/green screen)
• Click on Visual button
• Use eye dropper to choose green background
• On the top color slider, widen out so the left is just about to blue and the right is just about to yellow (see the screenshot below)
• Drag the saturation all the way to the right, and almost all the way to the left
• Widen the Luma so it looks like above photo
• Edge Thin UP one click
• Softening UP two clicks
  (Leave Enhance at default)

:: 3rd ::  Add Spill Supressor - Green
• Make the setting: 4 (this depends on your BG - the lighter your Background clip, the less of this you want. The darker it is, the more you want)

And that should get you pretty close! These are the settings I used to create the clip in the link below, so you can see how clean these settings get the key. But you can tweak until it looks just right on your background. Enjoy!

Not Shooting Again Until March

We've had such a wonderful response to our current casting call that we've had several shoots these past few weeks. Between some object shots and the super-fab talent we videotaped here in our studio, last month we generated over 100 new clips! So we won't be shooting for a few weeks while I do all the post-production on these shots (edit, color correct, key, create background reels and upload to iStock).

Thanks for checking in and we'll be posting more casting calls for the beginning of March.
